Superset Consulting Requirement A major financial services firm aimed to transition away from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution in one of its core products. The goal was to migrate to an Open Source system, specifically Superset, in order to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted a series of project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. This assessment formed the basis for a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project’s progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. To ensure optimal performance and the most effective use of Superset, recommendations were made to modify the data stores, with the NobleProg team providing guidance to the client’s staff during the implementation of these changes. Once the data store and pipeline were optimized, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and its customers. To meet specific data presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants not only built new dashboards but also ensured that sufficient knowledge was transferred to the client’s organization, enabling them to independently maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been highly regarded by both the client’s business team and their end users. Reflecting the project’s success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
