Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services organization sought to transition from an industry-leading BI solution for one of its key products to an Open Source system (Superset) in order to achieve significant savings on license costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this assessment, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project's progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting requirements for each report type. To ensure optimal performance and best use of Superset, the lead consultant recommended changes to the data stores and provided guidance to the team responsible for implementing these modifications. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements as well as new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were created to enable more interactive data presentation, including drill-down features.
Outcome The consultants continued to build new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge was transferred to the customer's organization to maintain the dashboards and reports independently. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the client's business team and their end users. To underscore the project's success, its scope has been expanded and extended to include additional products and end clients.
