Course Outline

Participants will learn how to:

  • Import text and graphics from external files and programs, including Microsoft Office.
  • Work with text frames and graphics within Adobe InDesign.
  • Employ tools for editing text and graphics.
  • Create typographic ornaments.
  • Connect text frames to form a continuous thread.
  • Build a personal library of useful tools and assets.
  • Create custom style symbols, including characters, graphics, fonts, and colors.
  • Save time by using tools to quickly switch between custom styles.
  • Create patterns for repetitive design elements.
  • Work with colors across various palettes.
  • Manage multi-page documents.
  • Set up page numbering and sections.
  • Manage external linked files.
  • Output documents for printing.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with vector and raster graphics is beneficial but not mandatory.
