NetApp ONTAP Training Course

Buildroot is an open-source initiative featuring scripts designed to generate a cross-compilation toolchain, a customizable root filesystem image, and a Linux kernel tailored for embedded devices. • Selecting the appropriate software packages to include in the root filesystem.

Participants will produce bootable filesystem images during the training. For remote sessions, the QEMU emulator is utilized, while classroom settings allow for the use of either QEMU or actual embedded boards selected by the instructor.

Practical sessions are conducted on target hardware (e.g., BeagleBone Black Rev. C - http://beagleboard.org/BLACK). Upon completion of the training, you will receive a Docker image containing Ubuntu 14.x with all dependencies pre-installed, along with course examples, enabling you to work with the materials in your own labs. Please note that this is not an introductory course to Embedded GNU/Linux. You should already possess a understanding of how Embedded GNU/Linux operates, including how to configure and build the GNU/Linux kernel and its drivers.
