We will construct a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to monitor tasks associated with homes under construction (utilizing SharePoint for straightforward data storage). Additionally, we will leverage Power Virtual Agents to demonstrate how users can activate bots within Microsoft Teams, guiding them to documents that may be distributed across various SharePoint sites, such as loan agreements, budgets, and sales contracts (as illustrated in the course example). I recognize significant potential for these bots within HR and IT departments, particularly for addressing repetitive inquiries. Furthermore, I will guide you through configuring simple flows in Power Automate to archive attachments from designated senders (in our scenario, saving inspection reports organized by the bank for the units). We will also explore additional basic flows that capture data from Microsoft Forms, store it on SharePoint, and establish fully automated workflows using the Approvals app in Microsoft Teams. After completing the app, bot, and flow components, the final phase involves generating a straightforward Power BI report. We will use Power Automate to dispatch a snapshot of the table containing the most recently completed tasks every two weeks to a designated recipient (the bank in this instance). This report will request a drawdown, including the completion dates of the tasks and their associated budget amounts (all data collected via the app). Given the high-level nature of this course, I recommend that learners employ ChatGPT for more technical aspects, such as coding elements or formulas in Power Apps. However, the course does cover this topic, demonstrating how to effectively utilize ChatGPT to assist with Power Apps formulas.
