Day 1: Cloud Fundamentals and Core Services

- Key components of Azure architecture: Regions, Resource Groups, and Resources
- Mission-critical architecture design and disaster recovery targets (RTO, RPO)
Part II: Core Cloud Services
- Storage and data fundamentals: Azure Table Storage and Azure Cosmos DB
- Compute and container platforms: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Registry (ACR)
- Relational data management and messaging: Azure SQL Database and Azure Service Bus
- Practical exercises for each service: configuration, deployment, and evaluation based on availability, performance, security, and pricing
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code with Bicep for reproducible environment setups
Day 2: Architectural Leadership and Clean Architecture

- Defining software architecture and understanding various architectural viewpoints
- Responsibilities and decision ownership of a software architect
- Communicating architecture specifications effectively to technical and business stakeholders

- Practical lab: constructing and deploying a Clean Architecture solution on Azure using .NET
Day 3: Domain-Driven and Distributed Architectures
Part V: DDD, CQRS, and Event Sourcing
- Domain-Driven Design essentials: defining domain boundaries, establishing a ubiquitous language, and model-driven design
- Concepts of CQRS and Event Sourcing for handling complex, evolving business domains
- Architectural patterns commonly used in DDD-based cloud solutions
- Practical lab: implementing Event Sourcing as a requirements-driven design technique (transitioning from requirements to events, aggregates, and event flows)
Part VI: Microservices
- Microservices architectural principles and trade-offs in distributed systems
- Selecting cloud services for microservices-based solutions, considering benefits and limitations
- Synchronous and asynchronous communication styles in microservices, incorporating reliability patterns like circuit breakers and resilience strategies
- Ensuring testability in microservices and CI/CD pipelines: contract testing, integration testing boundaries, automated quality gates, and deployment confidence
- Practical lab: developing and deploying microservices on Azure using .NET
Requirements
- Proficiency in an advanced programming language (such as C# or Java)
- Familiarity with the architectural styles covered in the course
- Basic experience working with cloud services
- At least five years of software engineering experience
