  • Describe the function of an IP router and the implementation of static and dynamic routing.
  • Compare and contrast distance vector (RIP) and link-state (OSPF) routing protocols.
  • Explain the concept of IP subnetworking.
  • Describe and explain supernetting, VLSM, and CIDR.
  • Explain the role of ICMP and utilize ping and traceroute as network connectivity tools.
  • Describe the application of DHCP in dynamic IP address assignment.
  • Explain how ARP is used to map IP addresses to MAC addresses.
  • Describe the function of DNS within TCP/IP networks.
  • Identify and explain the fields and flags present in TCP and UDP headers.
  • Explain how TCP provides end-to-end reliability over an unreliable IP network.
